Flying Eagles midfielder Daniel Daga is full of confidence ahead of the side’s clash with Saudi Arabia, DAILY POST reports.
The seven-time African champions will be aiming to bounce back from the defeat to Norway when they confront the Asians in their second game at the ongoing 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
Aliyu Zubairu’s side dominated possession, and hit the crossbar twice in the loss to Norway.
Another defeat could see them exit the competition in the group stage.
Daga is however optimistic they will secure maximum points against Saudi Arabia.
“I’m confident because we lost our game against Norway that we deserved to win. I know Saudi Arabia lost their game too,” Daga told a press conference ahead of the game.
“It’s football, anything can happen so we are hundred percent prepared and confident to go out there and get the three points.”
