Werder Bremen of Germany defender, Felix Agu, is looking forward to making his competitive appearance for Nigeria, DAILY POST reports.
Agu, who was born in Germany to Nigerian parents, represented the European country at the U-20 level before switching allegiance early this year.
The versatile full-back was part of the Super Eagles squad at the Unity Cup Invitational Tournament in London in May.
The 25-year-old made his debut for Nigeria in the 5-4 final victory over Jamaica.
Agu is currently part of the Super Eagles squad preparing for Saturday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Rwanda.
He said it is an honour to represent the three-time African champions.
“It’s a big honour to come here to represent the Super Eagles, to represent my home country. It’s just nothing usual, like it’s one of the biggest countries in Africa,” Agu told Football Fans Tribe.
