2026 WCQ: Chelle makes two changes to Super Eagles squad for Lesotho, Benin matches

The head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has made two changes to his squad to face Lesotho and Benin Republic in their last two 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Chelle has been forced to make the changes due to injuries.

Zaidu Sanusi replaces Bright Osayi-Samuel, while Uche Christantus will take the place of Cyriel Dessers.

The initial 23-man squad was released on Friday.

Nigeria will travel to take on Lesotho on October 10 before hosting Benin in their final qualifying fixture on October 14.

Chelle will be hoping that results go their way if they are to stand a chance of qualifying for next year’s tournament, following the three-point deduction handed to South Africa.
