Werder Bremen defender, Felix Agu has been ruled out of Nigeria’s upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Benin Republic.
Agu sustained a syndesmosis ligament injury in Bremen’s 1-0 victory over St. Pauli last weekend.
The full-back was replaced by Isaac Schmidt shortly before half-time.
Bremen confirmed on Monday via a statement on their official website that Agu will be sidelined for several months.
Super Eagles head coach, Eric Chelle, is now expected to name a replacement for the player.
Nigeria will be away to Lesotho on Friday before welcoming Benin Republic to the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo next week Tuesday.
