FCT police raid black spots, arrest 116 suspects

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command have arrested 116 suspects from different black spots across the territory over drug related crimes.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, made the disclosure in a statement on Thursday.

According to her, the operations covered areas such as Asokoro, Trademore, Mapape, Kurudu, Kubwa, Gwarimpa, Jikwoyi, Utako, Life Camp, Zuba, and Karshi.

The PPRO revealed that exhibits including various illicit substances, hard drugs, and dried leaves suspected to be cannabis were recovered from the suspects.

“Following diligent screening, 89 suspects were released, while the remaining offenders have been charged to court for public nuisance and possession of illicit drugs and substances”, the statement added.
