Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has named former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo as the best opponent he has faced in his career.
Mac Allister won the last World Cup with Argentina alongside superstar Lionel Messi.
He also helped La Albiceleste successfully defend their Copa América title in 2024.
He took part in a quick-fire questionnaire with GOAL at the PFA Awards on Tuesday, where he picked Ronaldo as the best player he has played against.
Asked to name the best player he has faced in his career, the 24-year-old Argentina international gave a swift response: “Cristiano Ronaldo.”
Mac Allister has played against Ronaldo three times in his career, all in the Premier League.
These encounters came during the Portugal captain’s second stint with Manchester United.
