EPL: Iwobi makes history in Fulham’s draw with Manchester United

Alex Iwobi joined the elite group of Nigeria Premier League stars after bagging an assist in Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United at the Craven Cottage on Sunday.

The versatile midfielder set up substitute Emile Smith Rowe for the Whites’ equalising goal.

Iwobi now has 67 goal contributions in the Premier League (31 goals and 36 assists).

The 29-year-old is now the third Nigerian to achieve the feat following the footstep of Shola Ameobi and Kelechi Iheanacho.

Only former Everton striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni, and (121 goal contributions), and Nwankwo Kanu (83 goal contributions) has better record than the trio.

Iwobi aside from his assist put up an impressive performance against Manchester United.

The Arsenal Academy graduate was in action for the entire duration of the thrilling encounter.
