‘Cheap politics’ – APC fires back on ADC over comment on Katsina

The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has taken a swipe at the African Democratic Congress, ADC, over remarks on the killing of worshippers in Malumfashi, Katsina State.

This is as it accused the ADC of making “opportunistic and grossly insensitive” statement.

DAILY POST recalls that the ADC had on Sunday, described the spate of attacks as a sign that Nigeria’s security architecture was crumbling, accusing the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of not caring about Nigerians but politics.

Responding in a statement on Monday, the National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, described the incident in Katsina as a national tragedy that should not be politicised.

“It is a thing of national tragedy when lives of innocent and law-abiding citizens are cut down by forces of evil and terror.

“It is despicable and must be condemned by all Nigerians. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the families of the victims of this and other incidents,” he said.
