PDP zoning decision clears road for Tinubu in 2027 – Namadi’s Aide

Mr Garba Muhammad Al-Hadejawi, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to JIgawa State Governor, Umar Namadi, has described the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stance to zone its 2027 presidential ticket to the South as another advantage for the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC, and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid.

He stated this on his official Facebook page while reacting to the PDP’s decision to zone its presidential ticket to Southern part of the state.

Al-Hadejawi explained that the decision gives “another chance for Tinubu to go again come 2027,” adding that it also provides an opening for the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

“It is an opportunity for the mighty Wike… and a clear road for Tinubu to go again come 2027,” he wrote, ending the post with laughter.

His comments followed the resolution of the PDP’s 102nd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held in Abuja held on Monday, where the party adopted the recommendations of its Zoning Committee chaired by Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.

DAILY POST reported that the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, announced that the party’s presidential ticket would be zoned to the South, while the existing National Working Committee zoning arrangement would be retained for the November elective convention.

Ologunagba further reassured Nigerians of the PDP’s “unwavering commitment to democracy, the defense of citizens’ interest and well-being, and the ongoing repositioning of the party to reclaim power in 2027.”
