A former All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba, on Tuesday said the activities of terrorists and bandits would destroy Nigeria’s food security and sovereignty.
Garba said importers of garbage in form of foods, the chemically combined, hybrid kind of foods that makes human beings grow like chickens and fish benefits from the activities of bandits displacing farmers.
In a statement he posted on his X page, Garba urged the relevant authorities to take the necessary actions for “the benefit of our future survival as humans.”
The statement reads: “The terrorist and bandit’s number one destructive force on our national life is the near total decimation of our food security and sovereignty.
“When our farmers are displaced from their crop lands and our cattle are being rustled at industrial scales, who do you think benefits from such damages?
“Of course, those that want to import all kinds of garbages in form of foods, the chemically combined, hybrid of foods that will force our bodies to grow like the way you grow agric chickens and fish in nurseries and cages.
“If we don’t take urgent action to tame this dangerous tide, you see this bumpy, fake none tasty and zero nutritious animals you eat in the public restaurants? That is how the future of our children’s growth will likely be.
“Fat, empty, physically and mentally disoriented and in most cases, consumer vessels for the producers of such damaging chemicalized feeds.”
“These wars, these banditry operations seems to be directly beneficial to those producers of such hybrids food. We must thus see the ongoing conflict taking place in the most fertile belt of the country as a clandestine operation of those directly benefiting from our lack of food sovereignty and security.
“We must therefore, look into this crucial situation as a matter of national emergency to restore our farmers to their farms, empower our herders with their cows and ensure their safety and security within a certain arrangement that will guarantee their continued survival and prosperity.
“Otherwise our future generation are directly impacted and we may not be as the quality of humans we have as at now.
“This is a serious matter and needs to be attended to with the greatest sense of urgency required.
“May God see us through and guide those charge with responsibility to see this issue as what is it, and attend to it for the benefit of our future survival as humans, and as a people.”
