Social media is currently buzzing over a trending video of popular socialite and music promoter, Opa6ix, where he opened up about his former friendship with Afrobeats superstar Davido—and the unexpected reason behind their fallout.
In the now-viral footage, Opa6ix claimed that he and Davido were once inseparable best friends, until a woman came between them. According to him, their friendship soured because of relationship drama, and it eventually led to Davido “joining Aiye”—a reference that has stirred up major controversy and conversation online.
“Me and Davido were best friends, but na woman cause our fight… that’s why he joined Aiye,” Opa6ix said in the clip, which has since taken over Twitter (now X) trends.
He further alleged that the woman at the center of the rift was Alechia Adams, a name that longtime fans of Davido may recognize from his early days in the spotlight.
