The Kano State House of Assembly on Tuesday inaugurated two lawmakers who won the August 16 by-election.

Ya’u Gwarmai of the All Progressives Congress (APC), representing Ghari/Tsanyawa Constituency, and Ali Alhassan Kiyawa of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), representing Shanono/Bagwai Constituency, took the oath of office during a plenary session presided over by the Speaker, Alhaji Ismail Falgore.

Speaking after the ceremony, Speaker Falgore congratulated the newly sworn-in lawmakers, urging them to deliver on the mandate given to them by their constituents.

“I encourage both of you to work diligently and ensure that the hopes of your people are met,” he said.
