142 abducted victims regain freedom in Zamfara

At least 142 persons abducted by a bandit kingpin in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State have regained freedom.

The development was disclosed on Thursday by security analyst, Zagazola Makama, via his X handle.

According to the report, the victims were released on Wednesday by a notorious bandits’ leader, identified as Muhammadu Dansaadiyya.

They had been kidnapped from Gidan Gardawa, Kyambarawa, Maguru, Kurya Madaro, Kagara, Yankaba, Madira and Dogon Daji villages in Kaura Namoda.

A source said the victims were freed at about 8:30 a.m. on August 27 and taken to General Hospital, Kaura Namoda, for medical checks and debriefing before reuniting with their families.
