Speaking with Punch on Sunday, September 7, 2025, Abdullahi explained that the attackers were criminal gangs coming from outside, not Fulani natives living in Rore.
He cited incidents where kidnappers struck between 7 pm and 7:30 pm, but swift response from local hunters and vigilantes forced them to flee, leaving the victims unharmed.
> “These kidnappers came in from 7 pm to 7:30 pm to strike. We arranged our hunters and went to ambush them along Idofin. We got there and they ran away, but the victims were freed,” Abdullahi recounted.
He added that another attack occurred a month later, when an aged father was abducted. However, with combined efforts from hunters across Oko, Idofin, Ajuba, Isanlu-Isin, and Omu-Aran, the victim was eventually rescued.
Abdullahi stressed that these incidents prove the Fulani in Rore are part of the solution, not the problem, urging residents to see them as partners in the fight against insecurity.
