Champions League: Mourinho rates Chelsea’s chances of winning trophy

Benfica manager, Jose Mourinho, has said that Chelsea have what it takes to win the Champions League this season.

Mourinho was speaking ahead of a return to Stamford Bridge to face the Blues on Tuesday night.

The 62-year-old however warned his former team that the Champions League will be harder to win than the Club World Cup.

“The Champions League is much harder to win than the Club World Cup.

“But Chelsea have the potential to do it. I don’t see any reason to say they have no chance.”

Chelsea were beaten 3-1 by Bayern Munich in their first fixture of the league phase and will be looking to claim maximum points against Benfica.
