Abia State Civil Service Commission has debunked a recent publication claiming the sale of slots for ongoing recruitment of 771 health workers in the State.
It also encouraged anyone with verifiable information about such infraction or attempted misrepresentation of the Commission, to report it immediately for thorough investigation and decisive action.
A statement signed by Eno Jerry Eze, the Chairman of Abia State Civil Service Commission, said that her office “implemented a robust recruitment process that ensures transparency, fairness and meritocracy at every stage.”
Eze, who said that applications, Computer-Based Tests, CBT, and interview processes were designed to eliminate biases, explained that the formula was to ensure that only best and qualified candidates were selected for viable positions.
She added that final results of the recruitment process, together with candidates documentation status, would be published on the official recruitment portal.
DAILY POST recalls that Governor Alex Otti last week assured that the recruitment processes in Abia State healthcare system were strictly on merit, adding that it attracted applications from outside the State and Nigeria, including Zambia and South Africa.
