FIFA has appointed Egypt’s Amin Mohamed Omar as centre referee for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier between Nigeria and Benin Republic, DAILY POST reports.
The matchday 10 encounter will hold at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Tuesday, 14th October 2025.
Omar will be accompanied by an all-Egyptian officiating team.
Ghana’s Prosper Addo will serve as the Match Commissioner.
Nigeria and Benin Republic are in contention to secure top spot in Group C with two matches remaining in the qualifiers.
Benin Republic top the standings with 14 points from eight games.
Nigeria sit in third position with 11 points from same number of matches.
