The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has affirmed Hon. Shehu Hussaini, popularly known as Wazirin Kucheri, as the authentic chairman of the Action Alliance, AA, in Zamfara State.
The confirmation followed the resolution of a protracted leadership tussle within the party, which had lasted for more than a year.
Speaking in Gusau on Thursday, Hussaini confirmed the development, noting that the commission’s decision aligns with a court ruling that recognised the executives under the party’s national chairman, Barrister Adekunle Omaje.
The resolution, observers say, ends months of internal division that had weakened the party’s structure in Zamfara.
