Hours after Isaac Fayose, the younger brother of former Ekiti Governor, Ayo, described Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State as one of the non-performing governors in the country, he has again urged the governor to seek guidance from the Minister of FCT and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on infrastructural development.
Fayose’s fresh stance came after an aide to Aiyedatiwa, Yomi Oyekan, dismissed his claim, stressing that the governor is working for the state.
The government critic, who maintained his earlier remarks, said going by his recent visit to Ondo, the state was one of the dirtiest in the country with very low development.
He emphasised that despite being an oil-producing state, Ondo under the watch of Aiyedetiwa has nothing to show for the huge allocations it has been receiving.
“I was in Ondo State last week; sir, even your aide that replied to me can’t live in Ondo State after your government with the way the state is right now.
“Your state is one of the dirtiest states in Nigeria with very low development. Oil-producing state for that matter
“You need to come to Abuja for Wike to teach you how to work.
“I stand by my remarks! The Ondo State governor is a lazy governor. Nothing to show for the billions he is getting from the federal government. We are poor because we have poor thinking leaders managing our resources.
“If I am Ondo State governor today, I can bring in 2 trillion naira per year without IGR and federal allocation.”
Ondo under your watch underdeveloped, learn from Wike – Isaac Fayose to Aiyedatiwa
