Paul Ibe, Media Aide to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, on Tuesday accused President Bola Tinubu of alluding to a Christian genocide in Nigeria in 2014.
Ibe said the United States senator, Ted Cruz may have adopted Tinubu’s claims on the alleged killing of Christians in Nigeria.
He recalled a post on Tinubu’s X page in 2014 which reads: “@officialLABAT, the slaughtering of Christian worshippers is strongly condemnable. It calls to question the competence of Jonathan to protect Nigerians.”
Ibe posted on X: “For the records, President Bola Tinubu @officialABAT, had in 2014 alluded to a Christian genocide in Nigeria.
“Perhaps US Senator Ted Cruz simply adopted Tinubu’s memo when he (Cruz) claimed without adducing any shred of evidence that there’s a Christian genocide in Nigeria.”
