Adhere strictly to core values of Nigeria Police – Imo Cp charges 264 graduating constables

Imo State Police Commissioner, CP Aboki Danjuma has enjoined newly graduating constables of the Nigeria Police training school, Nekede, Owerri, to strictly uphold the core values of the force, especially while dealing with the members of the public.

The police commissioner gave the advice while joining rest of the police personnel across the federation to witness the Passing Out Parade, POP, of 264 Police Constables of the 2022/2023 Batch B at the Police Training School, Nekede.

The event, according to the spokesperson of the State command, DSP Henry Okoye, marked completion of rigorous training by the recruits, who are now set to be deployed to strengthen policing and internal security.

Okoye added that out of the 264 recruits, 159 hail from Imo State, while 105 are from Abia State.

The police commissioner represented the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olukayode Adeolu Egbetokun,.

Delivering the address of the Inspector-General of Police, CP Danjuma congratulated the recruits and commended them for their endurance, discipline, and commitment throughout the training period.

He urged them to uphold the core values of the Nigeria Police Force discipline, integrity, courage, and professionalism—while discharging their duties with respect for the rule of law and human rights.

In his own speech the Governor of the State, Hope Uzodinma, represented by CSP Shaba Gboyako Adamu, commended the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in maintaining peace and security within the State.

The Governor praised the IGP for his visionary leadership and reforms, and further charged the recruits to see policing not just as a privilege, but as a sacred duty to protect lives, uphold justice, and defend the rule of law.

The Commandant of the Police Training School, Nekede, ACP Rilwanu Shuaibu, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police for his support and leadership, and to the Commissioner of Police for his guidance.
