Nollywood actress Esther Nwachukwu, also known as Esther Sky, has called on May Edochie, the estranged wife of Yul Edochie, to stop using his last name.
Her statement comes in the middle of an ongoing family drama involving the Edochies, with reports suggesting that some family members, including actress Rita Edochie, are not in support of May.
The tension heightened after Yinka, the wife of Yul’s brother Linc Edochie, shared May’s phone number online an act that triggered public outrage and further deepened the rift.
Esther Nwachukwu, weighing in on the matter, advised May to drop the surname, emphasizing that she had already made a name for herself.
“With all due respect, drop Yul Edochie’s name, so that there would be peace. Even if your documents are associated with May Yul Edochie, go to court. There’s nothing special about the name,” she said.
She also claimed that the Edochie family had turned against May, insisting that she was being targeted from within.
“The family has planned against her. All Yul Edochie’s siblings and brothers have been bought, because if they’re not discussing something about Queen May behind closed doors, the new wife wouldn’t come online and drag Queen May for no reason,” she added.
It’s worth noting that Esther is not the only one who has given May this advice. Previously, self-proclaimed relationship expert Blessing CEO urged May to step out of Yul’s shadow and drop the name, especially in light of his recent behavior.
