Nigerian hip-hop sensation Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has addressed fellow rapper Blaqbonez with a stern warning to quit claiming the title of Nigeria’s best rapper.
This follows a heated exchange between the two artists that recently erupted on social media, intensifying their ongoing feud.
The clash was triggered by a diss aimed at Odumodublvck in Blaqbonez’s latest collaboration with A-Q, titled Who’s Really Rapping.
During an interview on Jusmen 105.7 FM, Odumodublvck expressed his frustration, stating that Blaqbonez’s bold assertion undermines the contributions of legendary Nigerian rappers and shows a lack of respect for the culture.
“Do you know what it is for you to say you are the best rapper in Nigeria?,” he asked. “Stop joking. You are not the best rapper. M.I is the best rapper, Vector is the best rapper. If you were the best rapper, you would have won the best rap album of the Year [at the Headies]. You were not even nominated for best rap single,” he said.
“I’m not better than Phyno as a rapper. Look at his legacy. [There is]Olamide, Vector, M.I, Modenine, Ghost, Tec… So, for me to come and say I’m the best rapper, that means I’ve to be the best rapper. But if you’re not, Stop saying it. It’s getting on my nerves, bro. You can get smacked in the face for that kind of sh*t.
“Stop lying to the kids that you are the best. Nobody is even booking you for shows. Nobody is saying that you’re a wack artist, you’re an amazing artist. But don’t come and use your insecurities to close the door.”
