Transfer: ‘Don’t join Arsenal’ – Theo Walcott advises Eberechi Eze

Former Arsenal forward, Theo Walcott,  has warned Crystal Palace midfielder, Eberechi Eze not to join the Gunners this summer.

Eze is being targeted by Arsenal and their north London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Both teams are playing in the UEFA Champions League this season and Eze has informed Crystal Palace that he wants to play in the competition.

Mikel Arteta’s side are still in the market for further attacking reinforcements and has identified Eze, who was quite impressive last season, as a main target.

Eze scored 14 goals and provided 11 assists from 43 games across competitions for Crystal Palace last season.

However, the 27-year-old has made it clear he wants to leave Selhurst Park despite having a contract until 2027.

Walcott told It’s Called Soccer, that it would be the best option for Eze to remain with the Eagles to stand a chance of playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup with England.

“…If I was Eze, I would probably stay put just because it’s World Cup year. If it wasn’t World Cup year then I would probably move on.

“It would look very different at Arsenal,” he said.

Crystal Palace have no plans to stop the England international from leaving if he so wishes as club chairman, Steve Parish recently suggested that they could be open to let him go.
