Transfer: Nigerian defender set to join Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade

Nigeria defender,  Franklin Tebo is on the verge of sealing a move to Serbian club, Red Star Belgrade, DAILY POST reports.

Tebo will link up with Red Star Belgrade from Norwegian outfit, Sarpsborg.

Sarpsborg will receive €3.6m as transfer fee for the player.

They were initially reluctant to sell the centre-back but accepted to allow  him leave  after Red Star Belgrade tabled an improved offer.

The 25-year-old will have the opportunity of playing in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Tebo will join another Nigerian, Peter Olayinka at the club.

He moved to Sarpsborg from Swedish side, Hacken in 2023.
