The quarter-final fixtures of the ongoing African Nations Championship, CHAN, tournament have been confirmed.
This follows the conclusion of Group D games played on Tuesday evening.
DAILY POST reports that Sudan and Senegal played out a 0-0 draw to progress to the quarter-final stage.
Nigeria defeated Congo 2-0, but both teams are out of the competition as they occupy third and fourth positions in Group D with three and two points, respectively.
The outcome of Tuesday’s matches means Sudan top Group D with five points from three games, followed by Senegal, also with five points from the same number of games.
Sudan will now face Algeria, who finished second in Group C, in the quarter-final stage, while Senegal will take on Uganda.
The quarter-final stage will be played on Friday and Saturday.
