2027 presidency: Wike reveals candidate he’ll support

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has disclosed who he will support in 2027.

Wike revealed that he would support a candidate who will make Nigeria grow and protect the interest of the country.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Wike said his choice is aimed at preventing Nigeria from going backwards.

He also declared that he serves the interest of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Wike said: “If no notice of meeting has been served as a member of NEC I have every right to challenge it and nobody can deny me my right as far as I’m concerned.

“Our group will be meeting tomorrow and we will not allow injustice to prevail.

“Nobody serves the interest of the PDP more than me. I’m a Nigerian and can contribute to the progress of this country.

“I’m not the first person who has served in one party while belonging to another party.

“I will support somebody who I know will make Nigeria grow, somebody who has the interest of Nigeria, I don’t believe in sentiment or mere emotion, I don’t do that.

“Because I’m a party man I won’t want the country to start going backwards again. The party worked against the constitution of the party.

“My conscience is clear, I stand for justice, fairness, and equity. In 2027, it will still be power moving to the South.”
