Transfer: Chukwu moves to Austrian club, Wolfsberger on loan

Austrian club Wolfsberger AC, have signed Nigerian defender, Emmanuel Chukwu on loan for the 2025/26 season, DAILY POST reports.

The move will see the centre-back play more regular football, and boost his development.

Chukwu, a Nigeria U-20 international only arrived Bundesliga club, TSG Hoffenheim in January from Grassrunners Football Club in Nigeria.

The youngster is yet to make his senior debut for Hoffenheim.

The centre-back joins compatriot Chibuike Nwaiwu at Wolfsberger.

Chukwu was part of Nigeria’s Flying Eagles squad to the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations hosted by Egypt in May.

He played every minute of Aliyu Zubairu’s side six games at the competition.
