Adamawa: Ganye constituency member-elect receives Certificate of Return

The member-elect for Ganye constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Misa Musa, has received his Certificate of Return.

Musa of the All Progressives Congress, APC, won a closely contested by-election, polling 15,923 to narrowly defeat the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Buba Joda who got 15,794 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, presented the Certificate of Return to Musa on Friday during a brief ceremony at the INEC State office in Demsawo, Yola, where the Commission formally affirmed his victory.

He is thus set to take his seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly which was vacated last year when his predecessor, Abdulmalik Musa died.

Presenting the certificate, the state Resident Electoral Commissioner, Mohammed Nura, advised Musa to function at the state House of Assembly in ways that justify the confidence that the electorate invested in him.
