Foreign ministers from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Qatar, and Egypt have jointly welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to end the Gaza war, praising what they called his “sincere efforts” to bring lasting peace to the region.
In a joint statement issued on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly, the eight top diplomats expressed confidence in Trump’s ability “to find a path to peace” and stated the importance of close partnership with Washington to secure stability.
The ministers pointed out key elements of the U.S. plan, including an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, and a reconstruction effort to rebuild the war-torn territory while preventing the displacement of Palestinians.
They also welcomed Trump’s recent pledge to oppose any Israeli annexation of the West Bank.
“The ministers affirm their readiness to engage positively and constructively with the United States and all parties toward finalizing the agreement and ensuring its implementation, in a manner that ensures peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region,” the statement said.
The group further reaffirmed support for a two-state solution, calling for the full integration of Gaza and the West Bank into a future Palestinian state in line with international law.
They stressed that such a framework was “key to achieving regional stability and security” and pledged coordinated efforts to guarantee humanitarian aid, protect civilians, and create a long-term mechanism to safeguard the security of all sides.
