CVR: Osun residents besiege INEC offices as physical registration kicks off (PHOTOS)

Residents across Osun State on Monday trooped to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, offices across the state to register for their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs, in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration, CVR, exercise.

The development followed the activation of all registration centres in the 30 local government areas as well as the INEC state headquarters in Osogbo.

DAILY POST observed crowds at several centres as eligible citizens turned out in large numbers to participate in the CVR exercise ahead of the 2026 governorship election in the state.

INEC’s Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun, Dr Mutiu Agboke Agboke, confirmed the activation of the registration centres, noting that the initiative is to ensure that no eligible voter is left out of the process.

While embarking on a monitoring exercise to observe the ongoing CVR activities across the registration centres, Agboke said, “The visit is aimed at assessing the smoothness of operations, ensuring compliance with guidelines, and identifying areas that may require additional support.

“The monitoring exercise also provided an opportunity to interact with both registration officials and registrants, to ensure that the process is being conducted in a transparent, orderly, and efficient manner.”

INEC had kick started the CVR exercise with online registration on Monday, August 18, 2025.
