EPL: Arsenal suffer major injury blow after Man Utd win

Arsenal is set to be without Kai Havertz for an extended period of time.

According to The Athletic, Havertz has picked up a knee injury and will be unavailable for a while.

The German came on in the second half of the Gunners’ 1-0 win at Manchester United over the weekend.

It is unclear when Havertz suffered the injury, but he was not present at the open training at the Emirates on Wednesday morning.

Arsenal is now exploring the transfer market for signings to strengthen attack and provide cover.

This means that new striker Viktor Gyokeres is all but set to start against Leeds United in their second Premier League fixture on Saturday.

Gyokeres struggled to impress against United and will be looking to score his first competitive goal in front of the home supporters.
