Former Tottenham Hotspur star, Gary Lineker has urged his old club to sign another Chelsea target Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.
The Englishman said this after Tottenham secured the signing of Xavi Simons, who was linked to Chelsea.
Recall that Spurs saw off competition from the Blues to sign the Dutchman from RB Leipzig on Friday.
Tottenham had suffered two major transfer set-backs this summer transfer window.
They came close to signing Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze this summer.
However, Gibbs-White’s move was cancelled after Nottingham Forest threatened legal action, while Eze opted to join Arsenal from Crystal Palace at the last minute.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Lineker said: “I have seen Morgan Rogers linked with Tottenham.
“I’m sorry Villa fans, I think that would be an incredible signing for Spurs. I think they [Aston Villa] might have PSR problems.
“And given the disappointments of missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White and Eberechi Eze, I think that would more than make up for things. He is a player.”
