EPL: Nicol criticises Chelsea pair after goalless draw with Palace

Former Liverpool star Steve Nicol has criticised Chelsea duo Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro following the Blues’ 0-0 Premier League draw with Crystal Palace on Sunday.

According to Nicol, both Palmer and Pedro were “invisible” against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking on ESPN after the game, Nicol said: “It was a fair result. I don’t think either team did enough to win this game.

“Crystal Palace are so well organised so you need legs to break them down. I feel for them a bit.

“But they did not create much, Cole Palmer was invisible, as was most of the Chelsea players.

“As much as we were praising Joao Pedro at the [FIFA] Club World Cup, he just was not in the game today.”
