EPL table: Arsenal end Match Week 2 top as Liverpool claim 3-2 win over Newcastle

Arsenal will be top of the Premier League going into Match Week 3.

The Gunners thrashed Leeds United 5-0 to move to the summit of the table on goals difference ahead of North London rivals Tottenham.

Spurs had won 2-0 at Manchester City earlier in the day.

Liverpool also ensured that they are one of the three teams with a perfect record so far, after they pulled off a dramatic 3-2 win at Newcastle United on Monday night.

The Reds travelled to St James Park on the back of a 4-2 victory against Bournemouth in their opening fixtures.

Ryan Gravenberch and Hugo Ekitike scored either side of half time to give Liverpool a two-goal lead.

And although Bruno Guimaraes and William Osula levelled the game for the Magpies, Rio Ngumoha grabbed a dramatic late winner just four days before his 17th birthday.

Arsenal travel to Liverpool in a top-of-the-table clash on Sunday, with one of them set to lose their perfect record.
