Former Manchester United striker, Wayne Rooney, has said he prefers Arsenal to win the Premier League ahead of Liverpool.
Rooney stated this while speaking to the BBC.
According to him, he still doesn’t like the Gunners, but would rather see them become champions instead of Arne Slot’s men.
“I don’t like Arsenal but I would much rather them win the league than Liverpool,” Rooney said.
“I like what they’re doing, they’re figuring it out, they’re finding a way.
“They’re being difficult to beat, they don’t concede many goals, and I just think there’s something happening.”
After six fixtures, Liverpool are currently top of the log with 15 points, two more than Arsenal.
This weekend, Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates, while Liverpool travel to Chelsea.
