Gov Buni mourns Yobe varsity student crushed by vehicle

Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, said he received with deep shock the news of the demise of Amina Yakubu, a student of Yobe State University who was crushed while in a tricycle.

Buni made his feeling known in a statement through Media Aide, Mamman Mohammed.

He condoled the parents, friends and relations of the deceased describing the development as a sad loss.

“My heartfelt condolences also goes to the Vice Chancellor, staff, students and the entire university community over the loss of this young promising student.

“As faithful, we always believe in the power of creation and death as in the hands of our creator, Allah the almighty,” Buni consoled the family.

He prayed for the repose of her soul in Aljannah Firdaus, and to the family, the fortitude to bear the loss, while also praying for quick recovery of those injured and directed free treatment of the victims.

In the meantime, Governor Buni called on motorists and other road users to be cautious on the roads especially during the rainy season.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that, the 100 level student of Education Biology was crushed to death by a vehicle while in a tricycle with four other passengers sustaining varying degrees of injuries.
