GWR: Nigerian comedian DeeOne completes world record for longest stand-up comedy

Popular Nigerian comedian and reality show star, DeeOne, has completed a Guinness World Record, GWR, attempt for the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual.

After confirmation by GWR, the comedian began the 52-hour attempt around 12 am on October 2 and completed it on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Speaking after the event, DeeOne noted that the record attempt was to encourage Nigerian youths and every dreamer that “no goal is too high to achieve.”

The 52-hour event, which took place at Pallazzo in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, was attended by many Nigerian celebrities, including Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, among others.

DAILY POST reports that DeeOne’s 52-hour and 42-minute achievement is now subject to official verification by the GWR.

It will be recalled that American comedian Benny Elbows held the current record on April 25, 2025 after a 40-hour, 16-minute, and 48-second attempt.
