Jigawa Governor Namadi signs ₦75bn supplementary budget into law

The Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi has signed into law ₦75 billion as 2025 supplementary budget .

The Governor signed the supplementary budget as approved by the state House of Assembly after it was scrutinised last week.

‎DAILY POST had reported that the Jigawa State House of Assembly passed an appropriation bill of ₦75 billion as supplementary budget for the 2025 fiscal year.

The sum of N58 billion is earmarked for state and N17.109 billion for the 27 Local Governments council.

He said, the supplementary budget will enhance ongoing projects and programs across critical sectors such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, agriculture, and other developmental projects.

‎Governor Umar Namadi had in December 2024 presented a bill of N698.3 billion as the 2025 budget. With the additional appropriation, Jigawa State now has N756.3 billion as its 2025 budget.
