Speaking on the strides made under his leadership, Governor Sani emphasized the need for inclusive governance, saying, “Hearing some people talking about the number of Muslims and Christians in Kaduna, for me, it is unfortunate and unnecessary. As a leader, we don’t run our state based on religion, party affiliation, or ethnic affiliation. We are running Kaduna based on fairness, justice and equity.”
He recalled that upon assuming office, he inherited a state deeply divided along social and political lines. “When I came in as governor, we met a state that was highly divided. Today, we are one family,” he stated, highlighting the role of his administration’s policies in fostering unity and communal harmony.
The governor also credited the Kaduna Peace Model, a framework designed to address security challenges through community engagement, dialogue with local leaders, and proactive conflict resolution, for the state’s progress.
