Speaking on Monday, September 8, 2025, Onochie told Vanguard that the political tide is shifting, likening the coming election to the historic 2015 polls that unseated an incumbent president.
> “Votes will count in 2027, just as they did in 2015. A new president will be sworn in, and we will give them a run for their money,” she said.
Onochie dismissed what she described as “psychological warfare” by those trying to downplay the power of the ballot, stressing that such narratives were designed to discourage civic participation.
She maintained that the ADC-led opposition coalition is prepared to mount a strong challenge against the ruling establishment.
> “The opposition is united, ready, and determined to restore confidence in our democracy. Nigerians will decide their future,” she added.
