The Naira has appreciated against the dollar at the parallel foreign exchange market on Tuesday.
A Bureau De Change operator in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, Abubakar Alhasan, confirmed to DAILY POST on Tuesday that the Naira gained against the dollar.
He said the naira strengthened by N5 to N1,500 per dollar on Tuesday, up from N1,505 on Monday.
Meanwhile, at the official foreign exchange, the naira continued depreciation against the dollar.
The Central Bank of Nigeria’s data showed that the Naira weakened for the second time this week to N1,471.09 per dollar on Tuesday, down from N1,470.26 traded on Monday.
This means that on a day-to-day basis the Naira dropped by N0.83 against the dollar at the official FX markets.
The development showed that the Naira recorded mixed sentiment on Tuesday.
This comes as the country’s external reserves rose further to $42.54 billion as of October 6, 2025, from $42.44 billion on October 3.
Recall that on Monday, the Naira depreciated across official and parallel foreign exchange markets.
