Natasha: Nigeria can’t attain full potentials with women avoiding politics – Aisha Yesufu

Frontline socio-political activist, Aisha Yesufu, on Wednesday, said Nigeria is unable to attain its full potential because women stay away from politics.

Yesufu, however, noted that the narrative is changing with Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.

Posting on X, she said women can support each other to get into positions of decision making.

She wrote: “Dear Nigerian Women
Staying away from politics has not helped us. It has not allowed Nigeria to get to its full potential while allowing the few of us that dared to enter to be bullied.

“With Senator Natasha @NatashaAkpoti, we have repeatedly seen what courage can overcome.

“So my sisters, we might not have the funds (which is usually a big fear we have) but we have each other and we can lift each other up and help each other get into the rooms where decisions are being made so we can help Nigeria get to its full potential. My dear Sisters, Let’s dare and yes we can.”
