How the Scam Works
Victims receive a WhatsApp message saying things like:
“You’ve won free data – click here to claim!”
“Update your WhatsApp now or it will stop working.”
“Get ₦10,000 welcome bonus instantly!”
Once you click, the link takes you to a fake site that:
❌ Steals your login details
❌ Installs malware on your phone
