Nigerians frustrated, feeling helpless – Lawyer tells Tinubu

Activist lawyer, Maduabuchi Idam, has declared that Nigerians feel helpless and frustrated.

Idam said some of Tinubu’s policies may force Nigerians to leave and take up foreign nationalities.

Noting that Nigeria just celebrated its 65th independence, the human rights lawyer noted that the high cost of living, influenced by the unprecedented tax policy of Tinubu is affecting Nigerians.

In a statement he signed, Idam said: “Truth is, several citizens feel used and entrapped in Nigeria at the moment. They are helpless and frustrated—I am one of them.

“The country would have been empty by now, if it was easy to quietly exit or resign and take up the nationality of another country without tedious conditions.

“Tell me why I should be spending my meager resources fueling my generator for over one week now, in the capital city of a country that just celebrated 65 years independence anniversary.

“My area in Abuja and several other areas have not experienced a sign of electricity since the 30th of September till date—No reason has been given for that. I’m not aware if the National grid has fallen again.

“To think that President Tinubu said he needed only seven (7 ) days to fix electricity if elected is the peak of my pain. This is notwithstanding the high cost of living, influenced by the unprecedented tax policy of President Tinubu.

“With the way things are going, neighboring countries will soon witness a surge of Nigerian Immigrants in their countries.”
