Nasarawa United head coach, Mbwas Mangut says it is important for his players to keep their feet on the ground despite their impressive start to the season.
The Solid Miners moved to top position on the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, table following a 2-0 home over Katisna United in a matchday six fixture on Sunday.
Last season’s top scorer, Anas Yusuf and Abubakar Abdullahi got the goals for Nasarawa United.
Mangut said it’s not time to celebrate yet with more matches still to be played.
“We actually planned for this, and as you said, we are achieving our goals gradually,” Mangut told the club’s media.
“We have to remain focused. It’s not time for celebration yet because the league is a marathon, and still in its infancy.”
