NPFL orders upgrade of Sani Abacha, Umuahia stadiums

The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has directed Kano Pillars, Barau FC and Abia Warriors to upgrade their home grounds.

Kano Pillars and Barau FC are playing their home games at the Sani Abacha Stadium, while the Umuahia Township Stadium is the home ground of Abia Warriors.

The NPFL wants the pitches and dressing rooms at the two venues upgraded.

The league body also directed that the technical benches and floodlights should be worked on.

It further said the clubs will be forced to play their home games at neutral venues should they fail to heed the directive.

Matchday two games in the NPFL will be played this weekend.
