Oyo Fire Service confirms Amotekun patrol vehicle caught fire while in motion

The Oyo State Fire Service has declared that a vehicle belonging to the Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Amotekun, caught fire while in motion.

The agency made this declaration via a statement signed by its chairman, Maroof Akinwande.

The statement was made available to DAILY POST on Friday in Ibadan, the state capital.

The vehicle belonging to Amotekun had on Thursday caught fire. The incident occurred under Mokola Bridge in Ibadan.

Akinwande, while reacting, noted that the patrol vehicle caught fire while in motion.

He said that firefighters promptly responded and no casualty was recorded during the incident.

He also stated that members of the Oyo State Road Transport Management Agency and a team of policemen from the Mokola Division were present during the incident.
