In a viral video shared by Viable TV, Bonet, visibly upset, said Obi’s recent association with El-Rufai amounted to an insult to those who trusted and supported him during the last elections.
“You Betrayed Us” – Bonet
> “You insulted us by standing with El-Rufai — we will never vote you again,” Bonet declared.
He argued that Obi’s choice to align himself with El-Rufai was not just politics, but a painful betrayal of the sacrifices Nigerians made in rallying behind him in 2023.
Bonet’s Track Record of Outbursts
This is not the first time Bonet has publicly attacked El-Rufai. He had previously accused the former governor of disrespecting prominent political and religious leaders. His latest remarks, however, show a growing mistrust of Obi among some of his once-loyal base.
