
Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has approved fresh employment of healthcare workers in the state.
This is after engaging over 8,000 teachers and more than 1,000 health workers during the early days of his administration as effort to strengthen critical sectors.
In the new employment drive, the Anambra State Primary Health Care Development Agency, ASPHCDA, announced that the recruitment for health workers will be community-based, this it said is to boost primary healthcare delivery at the grassroots.
A circular by the agency showed the available positions to include; Junior Community Health Extension Workers, JCHEWs, and Assistant Community-Based Health Workers.
It said: “Applicants are expected to possess qualifications such as FSLC, WAEC, JCHEW certificates, valid professional licenses, NIN, while computer proficiency will be an added advantage.
“Applications should be submitted online on or before September 8, 2025, while interviews will hold on September 9, 2025, at the Jerome Udorji Secretariat, Aroma, Awka, a notice was signed by Pharm. Chisom Uchem, Executive Secretary of ASPHCDA read.
